What are community-driven projects.

What are community-driven projects? 📲 ⠀ A community-driven project is a project that has no specified owner or any company structure behind it with a CEO who decides on its future. Instead, it is the community, for example, miners, validators, or liquidity providers that own the authority in the project, determine its course of development, control resources, and make decisions. ⠀ Such projects are highly decentralized blockchains and decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs). DAOs allow the token holders of a project to have voting power, which is normally directly correlated with the number of tokens held by a DAO member. ⠀ DMD can boast of a truly dedicated community that has helped it survive and improve for many years. Proposals of any type are welcome, be it code changes, requests for funding, or any other types of proposals. ⠀ The proposals submitted are discussed ongoingly and any community member can participate in the discussion. Then, the validator candidates will take a vote on the open proposals and funds will be allocated from the DAO treasury accordingly. This is done on a monthly cycle, which conveniently gives two weeks to think over the proposal and give feedback on it and two weeks to vote.
